We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Manager, Operations and Data Management based in Monterey, CA .
In this role you will lead a team and will be responsible for developing, managing and deploying a comprehensive data management and educational assessment report generation strategy; that includes providing cost savings, process standardization and quality improvement through leveraging economies of scale, sharing best practices and implementing process improvements. This includes maintaining the security, integrity, timeliness and accuracy of customer data and reports that reside on or are produced from mainframe and database applications. In addition you will manage world class external business partners and vendors to gain efficiencies and quality.
Here's what YOU will be in charge of:
* Quality Systems & Control: Develop and implement a quality control policy and related procedures and plans to support the objective of providing the highest level of accuracy, timeliness and completion for customer deliverables. Provide consultation, input and recommendations for ongoing enhancements to related systems, applications and tools. Develop and collect measurable metrics and indicators to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of processes, individuals and teams. Seek out opportunities to leverage technology to increase efficiencies, effectiveness and quality. Perform risk management to escalation and/or follow through on timely and satisfactory resolution.
* People Management & Development: Determine required resources, hire, train, manage, coach and develop staff. Manage and position the team to meet and strive to exceed deliverables in terms of customer satisfaction, quality, quantity, accuracy and timeliness.
* Stakeholder Management: Build upon key relationships with business segment leaders to clearly articulate the Data Management mission/vision and ensure its strategies support the corporate goals moving forward. Drive and strengthen fluid internal multi-departmental communication, process flow, best practices sharing, and general collaboration within the network of interdependent teams.
* Operations Planning & Management: Plan for, create, implement and lead:
* Data management service strategy that incorporates process consistency in operational and production efficiencies. Manage multiple concurrent large scale mission critical deliverables and staff department resources appropriately.
* Manage third party vendor relationship, quality, and turnaround time to augment report deliverables.
* Shelf calling campaign for Spring and Fall seasons year over year designed to maintain or build revenue and maximize customer retention.
* Financial/Budget Management: Perform financial planning in order to establish and manage to annual budgets. Ensure team performance and output in line with required expenditures. Negotiate vendor contracts for productivity savings.
Here is what YOU will need to be successful:
* BA/BS in business, technology, organizational leadership or related field required.
* 8 years increasingly responsible experience in technical program management; 5 years of which involves all aspects of people/staff management.
* Substantive experience in continuous process improvement and quality system development with emphasis on documentation, TQM, Lean and Six-Sigma, and ISO 9000.
* Experience in risk intervention and management strategies.
* Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of office automation software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
* Expertise in the use of mainframe, windows office applications and/or online systems and applications in order to review, extract, analyze and download for analysis and management reporting required.
* Organizational, planning, time management and prioritization skills as demonstrated in obtaining results through multiple teams.
* Experience applying organizational diagnostics and analysis required to identify areas for process improvement between interdependent functions with established, differing processes that results in developing recommendations that satisfy departmental and corporate goals required.
* Proven success in data and strategic planning that involved developing overarching strategies encompassing multiple and varied processing or business functions required.
* Demonstrated success in interacting with all levels of leadership; offering advice, using negotiation skills and diplomacy to secure commitment for initiatives in a dynamic environment where scarce resources and shifting priorities will be prominent factors.
