The School Education Group, the leading provider of print and digital educational materials for Grades PreK-12, is looking for a highly motivated and technology savvy individual to work as a National Technology Consultant (eConsultant) that is located in the central U.S. The ideal candidate will deliver persuasive technical sales presentations and product training sessions that clearly communicate School Education Group (SEG) K-12 technology solutions and competitive advantages. This individual will also provide technical consulting on the integration and implementation of SEG products and existing technologies in customer environments.
National Technology Sales Consultants are product specialists and master presenters whose primary responsibilities include:
* Fostering relationships with the ability to leverage knowledge to increase sales by qualifying and positioning our technology, multimedia and digital content opportunities at the highest institutional levels in target accounts
* Delivering sales presentations and awareness workshops focusing on SEG technology solutions in key textbook adoptions
* Assisting with regional/national technology training of SEG K-12 sales reps, consultants and managers
* Conducting tech competitive analysis, and provide feedback to sales and product development; studying new technology devices and determining if/how they may integrate with existing products to benefit the organization sales efforts
* Assisting in technology product market research and provide feedback and ideas to enhance product development
* Assisting with customer technology training (technology supervisor, lead teacher, and train-the-trainer) in target and key accounts
* Demonstrating a thorough understanding of all digital products and platforms
This position works remotely and The School Education Group will provide home office equipment.
Required:
* Bachelors degree
* A minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience
* A minimum of five years of sales experience; educational publishing sales preferred
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong presentation, organization, and time management skills
* In-depth knowledge and skills with technology hardware, software, platforms and stays current on technology trends
* Ability to conduct presentations/training via webinar and other technology solutions
* In-depth educational product and industry knowledge
* Comfortable working with a geographically diverse population
* Organizational awareness and ability to operate effectively at all levels within the organization
* Experience giving presentations and training
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and online/web-based tools
* Ability to travel without limitation; minimally 60-70% travel
* Must live near a major metropolitan airport
