Seasoned editorial Art Director needed for staff position at our 130- year-old flagship newsweekly covering the construction and architectural design industry. ENR has been the leading source of news and analysis of trends, new technologies, and construction projects in the US and the world for over a century. The magazine exists in multiple formats, print and digital and this position will need to oversee its design in print and online, working with a web editorial and design team. An affinity for and knowledge of architecture and building is essential. The ability to create information graphics-site plans and sectional diagrams, tables and charts in-house also essential. Great, knowledgeable, passionate editors. Staff Associate position will support the Art Director. Overlap with regional editions and other ancillary publications. Mangerial experience-staff and workflow is essential. This is an opportunity to reshape a vital publication brand.
5 years of managerial experience and responsibility for defining and
maintaining workflow and budgets necessary. Expert knowledge of K4, InDesign
CS3 and above, Illustrator, and Photoshop also essential.
This gig requires jumping in and getting your hands dirty-and having fun creating designs that are as smart as the content. Full time (5-day week) on-site only.
