We are looking for an Associate Director to join our Quality team in Ratings Services. The main role of the Associate Director is to improve ratings quality by conducting quality evaluations, identifying and recommending areas for quality improvement, and planning Quality Review Board (QRB) meetings. The Associate Director employs knowledge of analytical methodologies and processes to surface, investigate, recommend remediation, and track quality issues in the analytical practice. They will further identify performance anomalies, research causalities, make recommendations, and present findings to the Quality Officer and QRB. An Associate Director is also responsible for meeting with Analysts and Analytic Managers to resolve difficult Quality situations such as error resolutions and resulting procedural enhancements. They aid in identifying market trends, ratings process and performance trends, and criteria development needs.

Main responsibilities:

Participate in conducting Quality reviews such as Level 2, committee, and sector reviews; present findings and recommendations to the Quality Officer.Plan and prepare Quality Review Board (QRB) agendas and materials for monthly QRB meetings.
Prepare, review, and analyze pertinent data and information on monthly performance metrics. Further identify performance anomalies, research causalities, make recommendations, and present findings to the Quality Officer and QRB.
Meet with the analytical practices on quality matters, work to resolve outstanding items, and monitor that all follow up tasks are completed (e.g., reviews, error correction policy, etc.)
Maintain information completeness and accuracy on QPM site (ensure all information is up to date, stored properly, agendas are complete, and follow-up action items are met).
Build effective relationships with internal constituents.
Associate Director should communicate with analysts, managers, and staff at all levels in the organization in ways that help ensure a smooth, effective, and efficient work process.
Perform ad hoc projects assigned by the Quality Officer.
MBA, JD, or CFA degree with 3-5 years experience in the financial services industry.
Must have a good understanding of financial markets and business environment including implications to S&Ps analytical products and services.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have the ability to undertake rigorous analytical work and be proficient at writing analytical reports.
Working knowledge of statistics preferred
Literacy in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, MS Project, etc.) is essential.
