The Data Solutions & Operations group has an opening for a Research Assistant. In this role, selected individual will generate and input appropriate financial and economic data from/to PC/Mainframe databases, retrieve source documents, and update ratings data assisting the analytical staff. Additionally, under limited supervision, the Research Assistant follows established procedures, undertakes specified tasks, performing the following:
* Contacts source of information to gather required documentation as specified by group document checklists.
* Extracts financial and economic data from source materials pertinent to assigned deals and inputs to group applications.
* Generates reports from computer systems.
* Updates gross debt volume.
* Works in conjunction and at the direction of senior analysts in preparing necessary information for rating committee presentations.
* Provide research for various groups supported by Operations teams.
* Maintains adherence to deadlines.
* Maintains related records and files.
* May answer mail or telephone inquiries.
* Provide other basic ad hoc data requests for management or the business units

Key Functional Competencies:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
* Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in related fields
* Requires intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access skills, including the ability to create queries, tables and reports within MS Access
Key Managerial and Behavioral Competencies:
